Madeleine Brown, MT-BC
Madeleine is a Board-Certified Music Therapist who received her B.M. in Music Therapy from Berklee College of Music with an emphasis in psychology. Madeleine has traveled to Puerto Rico and Jamaica to learn about music in other cultures in order to best serve the diverse populations she encounters in the music therapy field.
Madeleine is a vocalist, pianist, guitarist, and plays ukulele, harp, djembe, and cajon. She completed her internship at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where she worked primarily in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, and adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit. Madeleine has experience with young adults as well as elder adults in additional settings, and has done significant work in the Chicagoland area with children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. Madeleine also teaches piano, guitar, and voice to all ages. Additional interests include marine biology, hiking, and dancing.
